Para 21 - اُتْلُ مَاۤ اُوْحِیَ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

33.28-29

یٰۤاَیُّهَا النَّبِیُّ قُلْ لِّاَزْوَاجِكَ اِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ الْحَیٰوةَ الدُّنْیَا وَ زِیْنَتَهَا فَتَعَالَیْنَ اُمَتِّعْكُنَّ وَ اُسَرِّحْكُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِیْلًا(28) وَ اِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ اللّٰهَ وَ رَسُوْلَهٗ وَ الدَّارَ الْاٰخِرَةَ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ اَعَدَّ لِلْمُحْسِنٰتِ مِنْكُنَّ اَجْرًا عَظِیْمًا(29)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

O Prophet! Say to your wives, “If you desire the life of this world and its adornment, then come forth; I shall give you wealth and release you honourably. If you seek Allah, His Messenger, and the abode of the Hereafter: Allah has prepared excellent reward for the virtuous among you.” [1]

Commentary

The pure wives of the Noble Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم sought more worldly provisions from him and requested an increase in maintenance, whereas the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was completely disinterested in the world and was averse to the unnecessary accumulation of worldly wealth. For this reason, their request disturbed the pure heart of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and this verse was revealed.
